The Knoxville Family Foundation was founded by Richard Barbee, licensed marriage and family therapist, in 2008. The goal of the foundation is to serve as a resource for local residents of Knoxville and Knox County. KFF has the goal of offering relevant, helpful information and professional therapy to couples (married / dating / engaged), families, adolescents, groups, businesses, and more.
KFF is designed to address a wide range of relationship and family issues. KFF utilizes a Systems perspective in treatment. Tools from Motivational Interviewing, Appreciative Facilitation, Rational Behavior Training, and others are employed to offer maximum improvement in the shortest period of time. The goal is to act as coach and motivator as much as therapist. Staff has years of training and experience with:
